Rally to Howland,

I need to know numbers for the Memorial Day event in Howland.
Setup will be on Sunday, after 12 noon in the little park just across the bridge. The Legion will feed us on Sunday Eve and breakfast on Monday Morn.
We do 9 cemetaries, then a parade w/ take-down early afternoon-Should be able to leave around 2 at the latest.

Let me know ASAP if you plan on being there and which days you will make it.

Also,Lincoln would like us to do their parade on the actual Memorial Day-No pay but they will feed us.
I need numbers ASAP to let them know if we will/won't be doing that parade.

Sgt Dudley

Loyal members of the Union:
  • We will be encamping on the town park site in Howland.
  • Set-up is 12 noon on Sunday. Cross the bridge and you'll see a small
park w/ a BIG tank. You can't miss it. Meeting in the afternoon.
  • Meals will be provided for supper on Sunday and breakfast on Monday.
  • We will be going to services at 9 cemeteries. They can be extremely buggy so lots of bug dope should be the rule.
  • We are on a very tight schedule as those who have done this remember, so it is NOT mandatory that all the soldiers go.
  • Transportation to these sites is provided.
  • Parade is at 11 (We need to be there early!)
  • If you have any other questions please ask Pvt Paul Smith as he is the contact person for this event.

I am, your most faithful servant,
