Hello -  Please pass along the following information to your re-enactors who may wish to make dinner reservations for next Saturday night at the King’s Head Inn.  It is a great way to celebrate Father’s Day, and since you will be here at Kings Landing I thought you might like the chance to have a nice dinner.  This is a copy of the email that we sent to our customer database, and as you can see we are promoting your activities.

Advance reservations are required for this event as the menu is pre-selected.  All the details you need are below.  Thanks!

Father’s Day Dinner at the King’s Head Inn, Saturday, June 17th, 2006, 6:30 p.m.

If you are looking for a great way to celebrate Dad next weekend, why not join us at the King’s Head Inn!  Military re-enactments and a fabulous meal at the King’s Head Inn are on the agenda:

The Father's Day meal has been designed to appeal to dads of all ages, and is inspired by traditional New Brunswick recipes.  The main course options are:

Old-Fashioned Pan Fried Smelt

Acadian Tourtière with Baked Beans

King's Colossal Leg of Turkey

Each of these selections includes chef's choice of crisp garden salad or steaming soup, and warm Kings Landing brown bread.  The main course will be served with oven-roasted potatoes and fresh vegetables, followed by a delectable dessert selection and coffee or tea.

Extras for Dad!

Re-enactors will present a military time line event all Father’s Day

weekend: groups representing the 7 Years War (or French & Indian War), the American Revolution and the American Civil War will be performing drills and firing demonstrations, and providing tours of the encampment.

Save 15% on cost of admission to the village Father’s Day weekend when you show your dinner reservation confirmation at the Admissions Desk.

Bring Dad to spend the afternoon touring the 19th century before dinner at the King’s Head Inn.

A mock recruiting drive will be held with all potential ‘soldiers’ in attendance at the dinner, and Dads will have a chance to inspect 19th century weapons and learn about drill procedures.

We are now taking reservations for the 2nd annual Father’s Day dinner at the King’s Head Inn, being held Saturday night, June 17, at 6:30pm.
